If you are buying in Winter Garden today, there is a good chance the house is less than 20 years old. After freezes in the 1980s ended most of the local citrus business, much of the old grove land south of State Road 50 turned into new neighborhoods, many of them in Horizon West, like Summerlake, Waterleigh, Hamlin and Independence. For these homes, a home inspection in Winter Garden, FL is mainly about catching builder mistakes while someone else is still responsible for fixing them.
The older side of town is worth knowing too. Plant Street, the Garden Theatre and the historic Edgewater Hotel anchor a downtown that dates to the early 1900s, and the streets nearby hold older homes, some carefully restored and some still mostly original. In between sits guard-gated Stoneybrook West, a golf community built in the early and mid 2000s, along with other subdivisions from those years. Many of these homes may be due for a first roof replacement, a new water heater or a newer AC. We match each inspection to the home's age and write the report in plain language you can act on.

Dennis and Karla were both wonderful company during our home inspection. Both were prepared, professional, and very knowledgeable. They even gave us tips for how we could save money on small cosmetic repairs in the home. They were very thorough and made sure that everything in the house was safe and up to code before we proceeded with purchasing the home and notified us of non-severe issues that may arise in the future and how to fix them.
